Growing genuine organic Cauliflower isn’t easy, but the results are particularly rewarding. The taste and texture are truly amazing. The origins of Cauliflower are unclear. The Romans were thought to have cultivated a type of Cauliflower, but the vegetable as we know it today originated in the eastern part of the Mediterranean and was introduced to Italy in the 15th century. From there it slowly spread into the rest of Europe.
We grow a number of different mostly Italian heirloom varieties. This one here is called ‘De Jesi’. It’s from the South of Italy and much more heat resilient than other varieties.
