Sweet Lime, also known as Mosambi, is a citrus fruit that belongs to the same family as lemons and oranges. It is oval or round-shaped with a greenish yellow to pale-yellow rind while the insides are pulp-filled sacs clad in a pale green in color.
The high content of Vitamin C in sweetlimes helps in alleviating inflammation and swelling and hence play a pivotal role in treating symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It also enhances calcium absorption, stimulates the cell to build bone and promote overall bone health.
