Purslane is botanically considered an exotic weed and most people are unaware of its high nutritional content. It has a particularly high amount of Omega Oils and is therefore an extremely valuable plant. Amazing for all Vegans.
It is grown mostly in North Africa, the Middle East, Southern Europe, Asia, Australia and Latin America. Purslane is believed to have its origin in the Eastern Mediterranean and the earliest evidence of its existence dates back to 7th century BC. It is the only green leaf that we can grow outside throughout the year.
