Peppers, Sweet, Heirloom 'Doux D'Espagne', Organic

In our quest to grow only heirloom peppers, capsicums and chillies we’ve trialed many different varieties with mixed results. This wonderful pepper is a winner however. It is originally Spanish but it has a French name!! It was first grown in the south of Spain in the 1860. French chefs loved it so much they changed what ever name it had, made it their own 🙂 and called it ‘Doux D’ Espange’ which means the Spanish Mammoth. It is a long sweet Pepper that can grow to a rather large size. So far ours isn’t that big but we think that this is due to the desert heat and that during the winter months this will change.
