Our organic beetroot is grown most of the year in our open fields in our farm made soil without the use of any chemicals. Although Beetroot is now classified as a cold weather vegetable, it can be grown in our climate almost without break. We use a delicious Italian heirloom variety. Sanguina means “blood” and if you want a good traditional deep red Beetroot there is no better. This special strain from Italy has an intense red flesh and is very juicy and sweet. This versatile beauty is a powerhouse of vitamins & minerals. Simply amazing in salads, soups, steamed, raw, & roasted. The possibilities are endless.
