How to wash brown rice?

Take a sieve, put the rice inside in the necessary quantity, immerse everything in a basin and move it with your hands. Run the water over the rice until it becomes clean and clear. Drain and use for cooking.

How to cook Alce Nero brown rice?

It is possible to cook it traditionally (with lightly salted water for 60/65 minutes) or by absorption. Absorption allows you to maintain all the nutritional principles of the rice which would otherwise be lost in the cooking water. To cook by absorption you will need to cook a portion of rice in 3 corresponding portions of water (e.g. 100g of rice in 3 liters of lightly salted water).

How to remove starch from brown rice?

To remove the starch it is necessary to proceed by washing the rice under running water until the water becomes clear and clean.

Why soak rice?

To remove starch and reduce cooking times. This procedure is particularly useful in the case of brown rice and Nerone rice.

What are whole grain rices?

It is rice from which the bran, also called chaff, or the intermediate covering of the grain, has not been removed.
