The Costoluto Tomato is a fluted, old Italian favorite that has been around since the early 19th century. Fruits are rather flattened and very attractive with their deep ribbing. This variety is a standard in Italy for both fresh eating and preserving; known for its intensely flavorful, deep red flesh. This heirloom, cordon variety was extremely difficult to grow but now that the seeds have been grown by us in the 5th generation we get great results.  We hope you will enjoy this Tomato as much as we do.

Tomatoes grow on vines and can be harvested for up to three months. They are originally from South America and were spread around the world following the Spanish colonization of the Americas. Tomatoes were introduced to the Middle East in the early 19^th century. Nowadays there are more than 7,500 varieties grown worldwide. Eventually we will be growing more than 20 different types of which many will be heirloom varieties.
