Leeks, ‘Blue Solais’, Organic
Although they are closely related to the regular Onion, Leeks do not develop such a pronounced basal swelling, and they do not have the same pungent flavour and distinctive smell as the other culinary members of the genus.
Like most types of Onion, Leeks have been grown for centuries, probably developing from Levant Garlic, which is native to the Near East and countries around the Mediterranean.
Blue Soliase is a delicious French 19th century heirloom Leek with the most amazing smell and flavour. Not to be missed.
