One of the oldest cultivated plants, amaranth was part of the staple diet of the Aztec and Inca civilisations. This grain is rich in calcium, protein and fibre.
Cooking Instructions: Add 200g of amaranth grain to 500ml boiling water and simmer for 35 minutes on low-medium heat. Stir, remove from heat and leave to stand for 15 minutes.
